For most of my life, I prayed like God was hard of hearing.
Morning, night, and in between, I begged Heaven to notice me — to fix what was broken, to bless what I couldn’t manage, to answer questions I didn’t even know how to ask. I thought the louder I prayed, the holier I was.
But then came the silence. The kind that humbles you. The kind that feels like the whole world is moving and you’re sitting there wondering if you ever really knew God at all.
That silence wasn’t punishment — it was an invitation.
Somewhere between the words I was shouting and the life I was living, I realized prayer had become noise. Routine. Obligation. Like leaving voicemails for someone who’d stopped returning calls.
So I stopped.
I stopped performing. I stopped begging. I stopped reciting verses like magic spells. And for the first time in my life, I listened.
Not for thunder or angels or a sign from the sky — but for stillness.
Meditation found me in that stillness.
At first, I thought I was betraying my faith — turning my back on everything I’d been taught. But what if it wasn’t betrayal? What if it was the next step? What if silence was just another language God speaks?
When I began to meditate, I didn’t lose God. I found Him — or maybe, I found the part of myself that was always connected to Him. I stopped trying to reach God and started to rest in God.
That’s when peace stopped being something I asked for, and started being something I lived.
I’m still unlearning, still questioning, still rebuilding.
But here’s what I know now: sometimes faith isn’t about asking. Sometimes it’s about awareness.
And sometimes the holiest thing you can do is stop praying long enough to actually hear what Heaven’s been whispering all along.
This is just the beginning of my journey — the one that inspired the book I’m working on called “Stop Praying and Start Meditating.” It’s not a rebellion. It’s a return — to presence, to truth, to peace.
If you’ve ever sat in silence wondering if God forgot your name — this space, these writings, are for you.

I’ll be sharing more of my story every week — the doubts, the revelations, the quiet lessons that changed everything. If any of this speaks to you, stay with me. Leave a comment, share your own experience, or just sit with the words for a while.
We’re all learning how to listen again.
And maybe that’s where the real faith begins.
