I stopped praying the way I was taught — but I didn’t stop praying.
Prayer just changed shape.
It’s not me talking anymore. It’s me listening.
It’s not a list of requests. It’s a state of awareness.
Now, prayer happens when I’m silent.
When I’m grateful.
When I forgive.
When I breathe in peace and exhale worry.
Maybe prayer isn’t what we say to God — maybe it’s what we allow God to say through us.
The words changed, but the connection didn’t.
And maybe that’s the point.
Faith evolves — and so does prayer.
